" Bruce Lee is my idol since I was 14 years old. He is the representative character for me, as well in the Martial arts as in life. His philosophy is always present. He is also a moral support for me. Often, when I am confronted with difficulties, I refer to him. He is the lighthouse which guides me on a moral way and on the martial way... His route helped me to surmount numbers of obstacles... "

BIG BOSS, shot in 1971 in Thailand, is the first big movie of Bruce Lee. The enormous success of this movie made of him a star in all Asia. Bruce Lee plays Cheng, a young Chinese emigrant, who leaves looking for the work in Thailand. Hired in a factory of ice, he discovers after not much time that his factory serves as facade to formidable drug dealers who do not hesitate to kill their workers.

" I think that in this movie Bruce Lee has a very good acting. We can see him with very personal expressions, for example, towards the end of the movie, before setting up his vengence, we see him seated by the river at this moment he plays really very well... "

His second movie is FIST OF FURY, shot in 1972. Bruce Lee plays Chen Zhen who discovers that his master, Huo, died, in fact poisoned by one of the people of his school of kung fu, who was a part of Japanese. Bruce Lee is going to unchain his fury, until kill, and disguise not to be recognized by the police.

" In this movie, Bruce Lee makes discover for the first time to the whole world, the formidable nunchaku. Furthermore, his physical shape is impressive. His punches and kicks are very fast and very esthetic. We see at the same time a beautiful and wild Bruce Lee, who becomes crazy to avenge the death of his master ... "

His third movie is THE WAY OF THE DRAGON, written, interpreted and realized by Bruce Lee in 1972, and shot in Italy. Bruce Lee is at the same time the main actor, the scriptwriter, the director and the producer. He plays Tang Lung, a Hong-Kong man who lands in Rome to help the family of a friend, who is a victim of racket. Bruce Lee's martial arts capacities push away the gangsters who then call on to a formidable champion of martial arts Chuck Norris.

" In this movie, we see a Bruce Lee with an excellent muscular definition. His body and his muscles were extremely worked. And then, the final scene, in the Coliseum of Rome, the duel with Chuck Norris stays until our days a scene of anthology's Kung Fu ! Bruce Lee underlined a side gladiator. The idea was excellent... "

His fourth movie OPERATION DRAGON, is an American-Hong-Kong movie, realized by Robert Clouse in 1973. It is the last movie which Bruce Lee shot.
He plays Lee, a member of the Shaolin temple, contacted by the police which asks him to infiltrate a tournament of martial arts organized by Han, a old Shaolin monk who lives from now on on the traffic of opium and on the white slave trade. Lee learns that it is men of Han that are at the origin of the death of his sister.

" In this movie, we see a Bruce lee reaching a very high level in the martial arts. There is a certain distinction in the choreographies. It's different from what he made previously. We can see figures of martial arts which are really authentic nowadays, in particular grips, fights on the ground. The first fight with Sammo Hung, on opening scene of the movie, shows us that Bruce Lee already practised Free Fight MMA, well before that it is the fashion today... "

And his unfinished film GAME OF DEATH. Bruce Lee had begun to shot some fight scenes in 1972. After his death in 1973, the film was resumed by Robert Clouse and went out in 1978. This synopsis is incomplete because Bruce Lee had the main idea of the history, but no defined scenario.
Bruce Lee wanted to play Hai Tien, a champion of martial arts unconquered and retired , approached by the Korean mafia to take part in a descent on a pagoda with 5 floors supposed to hold a treasure in the last floor. After his refusal to participate, his sister and his young brother are kidnapped, what obliges him to participate in the operation.

" Bruce Lee's idea was to climb a pagoda of 5 floors kept by hirelings of the martial arts and to face an opponent of a different style of fight in every floor, and in the last floor an opponent of an unknown style ( Kareem Abdul-Jabbar), where from the essence of the Jeet Kune Do... "

But in 1978 Robert Clouse tries to catch up the film with a scenario totally different using the scenes that Bruce Lee had filmed in 1972.
Billy Lo (Bruce Lee), world star of the cinema, refuses to work for an underworld of Hong-Kong steered by the sinister Dr Land ( Dean Jagger), in spite of several "warnings" given by Carl Miller (Robert Wall), the champion of karate of the criminals. Steiner (Hugh O' Brian) decides then to kill Billy by the murderer of the organization Stick (Mel Novak).

" I's really damage that Bruce Lee was not able to finish this film. He had a very good idea to film his fights in the Pagoda. Go up floors and meet an opponent of a different style of fight in every floor was a very good idea... "

" A good martial artist is like water ... why ? Because water is insubstantial by that I mean you cannot grab hold of it "

" Be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash ... Be water my friend ... "
